Dr. Pete Rumford

Pete Rumford earned the degree of Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of California San Francisco in 2011. In 2012 he completed an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) credentialed Residency program in Functional Manual Therapy in Palo Alto, California. In March 2016 he completed an APTA/American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) credentialed Fellowship program at IPA Manhattan in New York City. While in New York City, Pete and his colleagues worked closely with dentists, treating patients with TMJ pain/dysfunction, facial pain, headaches, neck pain, upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS), and sleep apnea. Treatment is multifaceted and includes mobilization of muscles and fascia of the head and neck as well as joints of the cervical spine and cranial sutures, neuromuscular re-education of cervical and facial musculature, and postural training and strengthening.
